The AI4UNITY Competition held on September 9, 2025, at Ambassador School was one of the most exciting and inspiring STEM experiences I have participated in. The event brought together students from different schools who shared a passion for innovation, technology, sustainability, and creative problem solving. The atmosphere throughout the competition was energetic, collaborative, and filled with futuristic ideas that encouraged every participant to think beyond traditional solutions.

I participated in the Green Builders Challenge category along with my team, where we were tasked with designing a sustainable eco-friendly UAE 2030 city using Tinkercad. From the beginning, our goal was to create a futuristic city that balanced technological advancement with environmental responsibility. We wanted the city to reflect how innovation and sustainability could work together to improve urban living in the future.

The project required us to carefully think about multiple aspects of city planning and design. We focused on integrating green spaces, smart infrastructure, efficient transportation systems, renewable energy concepts, and environmentally friendly building structures into the model. Every section of the city was designed with the idea of reducing environmental impact while improving efficiency and quality of life for future communities.

One of the most engaging parts of the experience was using Tinkercad to transform our ideas into detailed 3D models. The platform allowed us to experiment with layouts, improve structures, and visualize how different components of the city would connect together. Throughout the design process, we continuously refined the project by adjusting building placements, redesigning sections, and improving the overall structure of the city to make it more realistic and functional.

The teamwork throughout the competition played a major role in the success of the project. Each team member contributed unique ideas and perspectives, which helped strengthen both the creativity and practicality of the final design. Brainstorming together, discussing improvements, and solving design challenges as a team made the experience both productive and enjoyable. The process taught me how important collaboration and communication are when working on large-scale innovation projects.

Another memorable part of the competition was presenting the project to the judges. Explaining the vision behind our sustainable UAE 2030 city and describing the purpose of different structures within the model helped improve my confidence and presentation skills. It also taught me how important it is to clearly communicate technical and creative ideas in a structured and professional way.

Beyond the technical aspects, the competition also gave me a deeper understanding of sustainability and future urban development. It showed how technology and innovation can be used not only to create advanced systems but also to solve environmental challenges and improve the way future cities function. Seeing how different teams approached sustainability in unique ways was also highly inspiring and motivating.

At the end of the event, our team was honored to receive Second Place in the Green Builders Challenge category. Receiving the award was a proud and unforgettable moment that reflected the creativity, dedication, teamwork, and effort invested throughout the project development process.

AI4UNITY 2025 was far more than just a competition experience. It was an opportunity to explore futuristic thinking, strengthen problem-solving abilities, improve teamwork skills, and better understand how technology and sustainability can work together to shape smarter and more environmentally responsible cities for the future.
