Participating in the National Round of the LLPA Digital Skills Cup 2026 was a significant experience that tested my knowledge and speed in core digital skills. I had the opportunity to represent the United Arab Emirates in both the IT Developer and AI Pro categories. The competition was conducted in a timed quiz format rather than project work, with each category consisting of around 40 multiple choice questions that had to be completed within a strict time limit.
The questions were focused on real world technology knowledge, including Microsoft technologies, AWS cloud services, software development concepts, artificial intelligence fundamentals, and general digital systems understanding. The main challenge was not only having the right knowledge but also applying it quickly and accurately under pressure.
In the IT Developer category, the questions were centered around programming logic, development concepts, cloud platforms, and Microsoft based tools and services. It required a strong understanding of how software systems work in practice, along with the ability to analyze technical questions efficiently and select the correct solution within limited time. This category strengthened my understanding of core software development principles and improved my confidence in handling structured technical assessments.
In the AI Pro category, the focus was on artificial intelligence concepts, machine learning basics, data processing, and real world applications of AI systems. The questions tested conceptual clarity more than memorization, especially in areas related to how AI models work, how data is used in AI systems, and how cloud based AI services are applied in modern technology environments. This category helped me develop a deeper understanding of AI systems and their practical use in real applications.
One of the most challenging aspects of the competition was the time constraint. Each category included approximately 40 questions that had to be answered within a limited time frame. This required fast reading, quick decision making, and strong focus throughout the entire assessment. It was a true test of both knowledge and time management skills.
Representing the United Arab Emirates in this national level competition was a proud moment. It provided exposure to a competitive environment that reflects global standards in digital skills. It also highlighted the importance of continuous learning in areas such as cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and software development, especially as these fields are rapidly evolving.
I am proud to have achieved recognition as a National Champion in both categories, IT Developer and AI Pro. These achievements reflect consistent preparation, strong technical understanding, and the ability to perform under pressure in a competitive environment.
This experience reinforced the importance of strong fundamentals, clear conceptual understanding, and the ability to stay composed in timed assessments. It also increased my interest in cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure and AWS, along with artificial intelligence systems and modern software development practices.
Moving forward, my focus is on further strengthening my skills both in AI and Iot along with, cloud computing, and software engineering, while continuing to participate in higher level competitions in the future.
